TE 803 ~ Professional Roles and Teaching Practice II ~ G. Sykes ~ 3 Credits This class took place during my internship year with MSU wherein I student taught at Holt High School. It utilized reflective techniques to engage our class of new teachers with strategies for working with our school's community in order to better teach our students. These techniques included reflective papers and various discussion formats. |
TE 804 ~ Reflection and Inquiry in Teaching Practice II ~ S. Caughlan ~ 3 Credits
During this class I explored the world of educational research. To assist in this exploration I investigated the effects listening to personal music devices had on student writing during in-class writing assignments. It was an interesting exploration in both classroom management and writing assessment. |

CEP 810 ~ Teaching for Understanding with Technology ~ C. Mccarthy ~ 3 Credits I was able to dive into using technology to improve my teaching practices in this class. My group and I worked together to create a wiki wherein we collected various resources that could be used to create a Flipped Classroom. Working as a group to create this was an interesting way to learn how technology can be used to enhance teaching. |

CEP 811 ~ Adapting Innovative Technologies to Education ~ N. Ayers ~ 3 Credits This class exposed me to the concept of the TPACK. To better understand the concept I created several lesson plans that integrated technology with content and pedagogical techniques. My biggest accomplishment in this class was the creation of a stand alone powerpoint that taught and assessed students on the important research tool of finding reliable sources. |
CEP 812 ~ Applying Education Technology to Issues of Practice ~ S. Plair ~ 3 Credits
While taking this course I had the chance to use several pieces of technology and apply them to my teaching practice. In particular, I explored the use of google drive as a mode in which to teach and assess collaborative writing. I also explored Educreations as a way in which to continue instruction outside of the classroom. Finally, I created a personal learning plan in which I laid out my plans to continue my exploration of educational technology. |

CEP 820 ~ Teaching K-12 Students Online ~ L. Wolf ~ 3 Credits Taking this class gave me the opportunity to develop my first online class. After exploring several Course Management Systems I was chose to use Blackboard to create a learning module around the novel To Kill a Mockingbird. Although designing the course was fraught with difficulties; in the end I found that I was proud of the module and learned a lot about designing online classes. |

CEP 800 ~ Psychology of Learning in School and Other Settings ~ S. Leahy ~ 3 Credits This course was all about learning about learning. It was great to gain a better understanding about why teaching in the way we do works or does not work. I was able to reflect on my own teaching practices and learn the "why" behind the learning that was taking place in my classroom. |
CEP 815 ~ Technology and Leadership ~ L. Rapa ~ 3 Credits
I had the pleasure of learning about becoming a leader of technology education in this class. The best part was the fact that much of what I learned went beyond educational technology and could be applied to any form of leadership. I also had the opportunity to be creative in representing the various leadership action logics. |
CEP 807 ~ Capstone in Educational Technology ~ M. Koehler ~ 3 Credits
While taking this class I was able to create this portfolio that I will be able to use in the future as I dive into a new phase of my career in Educational Technology. Additionally, creating the portfolio allowed me to reflect on what I had learned in the Educational technology program and put the puzzle pieces of my learning together. |
